The doctors told Catherine that Khan’s state was still uncertain. “We’re not sure yet, ma’am. We did what we could, but now it’s up to his body to fight the poison,” the doctor explained. “The anti-venom will help for sure, but we don’t know how much. Come back tomorrow morning, and hopefully, he’ll be doing a little better.”
That wasn’t the answer Catherine wanted to hear, but she trusted that the vets were doing everything they could.
