Time was running out
Catherine knew that she was running out of time, so she frantically tried to get to the vet as fast as possible. Once they finally arrived, she tripped while getting Khan out of the car and ran to the doors to get the nurses’ attention.
The nurses could see that something was wrong, and they quickly wheeled a stretcher outside and put Khan on it before rushing him inside.
