Charles and Princess Margaret Were Very Close – False
In season four, it seems that Princess Margaret and her nephew Charles have a tight bond. For example, at one point, Charles decides to marry Diana even though he knows their relationship is unsustainable, and Margaret futilely tries to talk him out of it. In another scene, they share a touching moment when Charles helps Margaret through an episode related to her mental health. Even though these events were fictionalized, did they represent some greater truth? Nope–apparently not.
Although they were next-door neighbors, the two reportedly had little interaction. In fact, Margaret was even seemingly on Diana’s side, treating her kindly at least until 1992 when her tell-all book came out.
