The Royal Family Feared Charles Lost His Life in the Swiss Alps – False

The Crown is chock-full of super dramatic moments, but only one scene features a life-or-death scenario. In episode nine, we see Charles’s ski vacation in the Swiss resort of Klosters. There’s been an avalanche, and the Queen and Prince Philip are informed that there is at least on confirmed casualty. The experienced royals begin to show their emotions as they contemplate what this could mean for them if the information about Charles turns out to be true.

Charles was never feared to have perished in the avalanche, which took the life of his close friend Hugh Lindsay. In fact, Charles participated in the frantic efforts to save Lindsay’s life.
