The Queen Went to Elaborate Lengths to Decide Who Her Favorite Child Is – Almost Certainly False
In one episode, when Margaret Thatcher’s son Mark disappears in the Sahara, the Queen tries to learn more about her children and repair their relationships. To do so, she meets with them individually and eventually decides that Prince Andrew is her favorite. However, according to one expert, these meetings are complete fiction and would be “out of character” for the late monarch.
There has been speculation that Andrew was the Queen’s favorite child, but her cousin allegedly said it was actually Edward since he shared more similar characteristics with his mother.
