One heartbreaking moment that was missing from The Crown’s depiction of Charles and Diana’s tour of Australia was curiously omitted. Diana was photographed crying during one of their walkabouts near the Sydney Opera House, while Charles completely ignored her. If he had noticed, a photographer who took the photo believes he looked away intentionally.
The photographer claimed a royal press officer told him the Duke and Duchess’ behavior was due to “jet lag and heat,” but he insisted it was the first sign their marriage was failing.
