Unfortunately, bedbugs are a real issue when it comes to staying in sleeping accommodations like hotels and hostels. This woman’s vacation in Hawaii quickly took a turn for the worse when she found her mattress was crawling with them. She ended up having to go to the hospital because of the infestation. When the hostel owners heard what happened, they wrapped the mattress in plastic and called it good as new. Thankfully, this woman was able to find another place to stay for the rest of her trip.
The traveler was rightfully outraged by the owners’ disgusting mattresses and decided to sue them, eventually winning the case.
