Food Always Does the Trick
Losing something while on a trip is always upsetting, but it’s especially terrible when that thing is your passport. There’s nothing worse than losing this important document when you’re supposed to be enjoying yourself, but at least I got something good out of the situation– kind of.
This person ended up in a less-than-ideal neighborhood in Paris, sharing a room with strangers at a hostel. One night, his and another traveler’s valuables were stolen. Though he didn’t get his passport back, the other guy bought him dinner to try and lighten the mood.
