Unfortunately for this Reddit user who worked at Toys-R-Us that year, customers followed him around the store and even tried to assault him in order to get their hands on a Furby.
The owl toy was so popular that people started fighting each other and going crazy every time a new shipment arrived. One person even tried to steal one by stuffing it under their shirt and walking out of the store without paying.
