Experiencing a Black Friday as your first day working in retail is not something we would ever recommend to anyone. Sure, the extra money you might make from hitting targets may be enticing, but the mental anguish and exhaustion are not worth it for someone just starting out. Unfortunately, this Reddit user had to go through it all without knowing what he was getting himself into.

After the poor soul was pushed by some unruly customers while carrying a box cutter, they ended up cutting their arm. They went back to the store floor after getting patched up but then got punched by another customer. And that’s when you know it’s time to go home.
