Michael Caine, 89
There’s no doubt that Sir Michael Caine is one of England’s best-known actors. He was already successful and popular before roles in movies like the Dark Knight trilogy, Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002), or Miss Congeniality (2000). However, it’s those films that made him an international superstar.
Though not retired from thespian work, Caine has had a spinal surgery that left him with little strength and unable to stand for long. In 2020’s Covid-19 lockdowns, he apparently developed a liking for writing novels–something we would all be interested in reading.
