You know, this moment would’ve been fantastic if it weren’t for the fact that the producers completely fumbled the bag when it came to the Battle of Winterfell. What should’ve been the climax of years of build-up and dread turned out to be one of the biggest jokes in all of fandom.
In other words, we weren’t surprised and not overreacting because we saw this coming. It’s endearing that Viserys and Rhaenyra believe they’re making progress when really, they’re not going to get what they want in the end. Just like us!
