Lance Armstrong is a professional racing cyclist who has risen to prominence in the United States. He was a source of motivation for many others until he was accused of using performance-enhancing drugs after winning the 1999 Tour de France and had his titles taken away. This alienated a lot of supporters and diminished their regard for the athlete.
To sports fans globally, it was a huge surprise and letdown. I don’t get why this person had an issue with him tying the knot with Sheryl Crow. It’s his private life, and none of his followers’ business; plus, lots of people have unique interests. The pair dated for some time before they called it quits because they had divergent desires.
