Here’s a moment where I show my age: I’m not sure if I could name anyone who’s been dubbed a “social media influencer,” and I couldn’t think of any in the cosmetics or beauty industry. So, naturally, I had to Google James Charles.
What I found out is that two boys not of legal age accused Charles of corrupting them by sending naked pictures and pressuring them into sexting. Although Charles has accepted responsibility for his part in the events, he claims to have thought that the people he communicated with were adults. Even if that’s true, the episodes have definitely sullied his reputation.
