Dr. Phil
To be honest, I was mostly unaware of the Dr. Phil controversy; I don’t usually watch daytime TV, and fortunately (or unfortunately) don’t have an infuriating teenager that would require me to seek out help from a man with no professional qualifications as a therapist on national television. So when I came across this, obviously, I had to do some research.
In the interest of full disclosure, I want to point out that this poster makes it look like Dr. Phil manages the ranches where all this was going on. He doesn’t; he just recommended that many parents send their kids there. Having said that, there are many accounts of abuse and neglect suffered by children at these ranches at the hands of staff members. This is clearly very messed up indeed.
