Avoid being blunt or sarcastic when giving feedback
When you’re on the job, some bosses want their employees to be truthful about their performance, which makes them uncomfortable. We all know how important it is to get positive feedback. As a result, it’s critical to avoid being blunt or sardonic and give helpful criticism rather than simply giving negative feedback.
When you’re evaluating someone’s work, concentrate on the good stuff first. For example, you might say something like, “I really appreciate how you….” It will thus help to soften the sting of any bad feedback you may have to give.
