Escalator Safety
These strange brush-like objects near where you stand are something that everyone who has ever ridden an escalator has seen. They aren’t there to clean your shoes, but some people do utilize them for that purpose.
The primary purpose they serve is to keep stuff like clothing, shoelaces, hair, and anything else from getting trapped within the moving components of an escalator. Obviously, we’re relieved to have such safety around.
