This statement deserves a slap in the head. What say?

If you’re relying on other people’s misery to make yourself feel better, you might consider the most expensive therapy available. This statement is coming from a student who received financial assistance from his or her parents. If you’ve ever experienced the agony of paying off college debt, then we’re confident that you’d be delighted for anyone who had the chance to do it without putting up with as much hardship.

We would be disappointed that something wonderful like this does not come your way. We, as a society, need to rejoice for one another. Evan’s remark is appropriate: it’s like giving antibiotics to all the people who perished of the plague.
