Big Ben’s Makeover
A tourist visiting London’s Big Ben was disappointed to find out that the famous landmark was being constructed. When they got there, however, they discovered that the stunning monument underway repaired. This is an exceedingly unusual event. For the first time in 32 years, extensive repairs were made to keep the clock and tower!
It was a case of unfortunate timing. As part of the expansion, the clock’s bells have been silenced until 2021, so you can’t even hear them anymore.
