Anna Tihaya is a Russian-born blogger who now lives in India. She immigrated to India with her family when she was a child. Anna Tihaya runs the blog “Indian Wife,” where she discusses matters relating to being a local woman in Puducherry, South India. These aren’t things you’ll discover in most travel guides.
Potatoes Need a Pair
In India, potatoes are never consumed on their own. They’re used in curry and sauce served with rice as an accompaniment. Tihaya once prepared vegetables with potatoes for her family dinner.
Needless to say, her Indian spouse was shocked by her choice of cuisine and inquired what they would eat with it. Her husband usually combines rice and potatoes in his cooking, but Tihaya hasn’t been able to get used to it in all these years.
