An environmental activist planted trees and now lives in the forest he created
Many people don’t think so, but one person can change the world. Or at least part of it. If this is difficult to believe, read the story of Jadav Payeng–a young man in India who is also known as “The Forest Man of India.”
Payeng is an environmentalist who is responsible for turning a barren land of more than 1,300 acres into a lush green forest. He started planting trees when he was just 16 years old and now lives in the woods he created to protect the land.
