Silencers Make Every Gun Quiet
Suppressors don’t actually silence a gunshot like in the movies, but they significantly reduce the noise. The loud sound that comes from firing a gun is due to heated gases expanding quickly and creating shockwaves as they escape the chamber.
Silencers work by cooling and dissipating the gases before they escape from the gun’s barrel. They are highly effective, especially for handheld guns. However, there is still some noise, and bigger guns like rifles will make a considerable sound even with a suppressor fitted.
