The Heart Skips a Beat When We Sneeze
Sneezing is the body’s method of getting rid if foreign objects (such as pollen or dust) from the respiratory system. Many different bodily functions occur during a sneeze, but thankfully, heart-stopping or skipping a beat isn’t one of them. Just think about what would happen if that were the case! For example, it would mean that if someone had a bout of sneezing fits, their hearts would stop for more than a few seconds.

Although your heart may briefly deviate from its natural rhythm during a sneeze, it never actually stops. Once the sneeze is complete, your heart will once again align with the electrical signals that control its beats. Therefore, there’s no need to fret about your heart missing a beat when you sneeze.
