Judy Garland was really short
Despite her enormous fame, Judy Garland was nothing more than a tiny lady. In reality, the actress was tiny, barely more than 5 ft tall.
This actually worked in her favor since she was so tiny and still played a kid in her most famous role, even though she was 16 at the time. That’s correct; Garland may have been 14 years old when she played Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, but she was slightly older than that when filming began.
