Human Trafficking
Perhaps we should call this “revenge” on a cheating spouse. It’s really just a stupid and cruel prank that has gone horribly wrong for the prankster rather than the cheater. When this guy found out his wife was having an affair, he put her photo on eBay and trivialized her by claiming she was available for sale.
As you already know, human trafficking is a criminal activity. Even though this eBay ad was a joke and the guy never intended to sell his wife, he was still given $50,000 for her and had to take down the advertisement by the authorities. At least it was amusing while it lasted.
