Not all dogs are created equal–some catch on to tricks and commands much quicker than others. You won’t know which kind you have until you’ve gotten to know them, though.
Even if they’re not familiar with the ‘tale,’ people usually gauge a dog’s intelligence by its behavior. For example, this person always assumed that dogs with bumps on their heads were smart. But upon further questioning, they realized that not everyone knows this story.
