Some people might break up because of it, but Hollywood also can bring people together — as in the case of Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan, who initially met on the set of Family Ties while playing love interests Allen and Ellen.
They even had some kissing sequences in the show, but they didn’t fall in love right away! It wasn’t until 1987, when they co-starred in Bright Lights, Big City, that they recognized that they could be the couple they’d been playing on screen for years.
