Taking a Variety of Roles
Although her most famous roles may not have been the most memorable, she took several steps forward in 1954, when she began acting outside of her usual genre – romantic comedies – and took on significantly more difficult parts.
She played the title role in Caroline and the Rebels (1954) – a French film, and Concert of Intrigue (1953), an Italian melodrama. She was a flirtatious student in School for Love (1955), in which she also had a part.
