Way to Cannes
During her Cannes Film Festival appearance in 1953, Bardot drew a huge crowd of media. Her elegant attitude and breathtaking looks paved the way for her within the western media, who couldn’t get enough of the French actress.
She was promoting her movie Act of Love, which was her first Hollywood picture (it was filmed in Paris, but the majority of it was shot in Chicago). The actress had a minor part in the movie, which also featured Kirk Douglas.
