Walking Into the Modeling Industry
From her early teenage years, Bardot had been interested in a modeling career. In 1949, Hélène Gordon-Lazareff, the editor-in-chief of Le Jardin des Modes and Elle magazines at the time, appointed her as a “junior” fashion model.

She was 15 years old when she made it on the cover of Elle magazine in March 1950, and again in 1952, when she was 17. This got her some acting opportunities – among them a major part in Les Lauriers Sont Coupés.
