In Between Paving Stones
While bees performing their natural tasks can be interesting to watch, the economic devastation they often cause is much worse. These insects will make their way into the tiny cracks of your paving stones, and before you know it, there can be a whole hive living there.
If you find them on your patio, use a broom to sweep the sand/mortar mixture back into the cracks. It is unwise to exterminate them as there has been a significant decline in pollinator populations recently. We should do everything possible to encourage and protect these species.
