A Swarm Hiding Under a Tire
This beehive inside a car tire is both scary and intriguing, showing how fearless bees can be. Popular celebrity Tik Toker Erika Thompson discovered this hive while she was out beekeeping. With millions of followers on Tik Tok, she is the CEO of Texas Beeworks, striving to find beehives in weird places and relocate them somewhere they won’t hurt people.
While on her beehive mission, Erika made a concerning discovery: an exposed tire filled with bees. Enclosed tires are typically secure spots for beehives as they protect the insects from human activity; however, this hive was overrun. To save the bees, Erika quickly got to work using an overgrown tree root she had cut off from a nearby tree. She directed the bees towards a safer enclosure she had brought with her earlier.
