Look Inside your Shoes
A new pair of shoes is a joy to many, but it’s not just humans who enjoy them – bees love them too! Your shoes are not immune to the honeycombs and beehives that bees build, so if you happen to see one in your shoe, don’t panic. Calling pest control won’t help because honeybees are considered beneficial pollinators, and pest experts will not kill them.
The safest and most effective solution is to contact your state’s Beekeepers Association or a local beekeeper. If you try to handle the situation on your own, you risk getting stung because bees become defensive and more aggressive when disturbed.
