Date night
On a date in New York in 1957, this photo depicts a young couple, both of whom are impeccably dressed, having dinner in the city. Brassaï was a famous Hungarian-French artist who captured this lovely natural moment on film.
The couple is seen walking in front of the Honeymoon Lane Dance Land, which was near Times Square and was a well-known “taxi-dance ballroom,” or a place where men paid to be paired up with a woman in a partner dance.
