Daytona Beach
This stunning and colorful photograph depicted Daytona Beach in 1957. For many years, the seaside city northeast of Orlando has been a popular tourist attraction. The city is famous as the home of NASCAR, which held races on the Daytona Beach Road Course until 1959, when the Daytona International Speedway was built.

The beach is also known for its hard-packed sand, which allows cars and motorbikes to drive on. This unusual snap captures the lively ’50s seaside scene with some of the most magnificent automobiles ever produced. It also offers a view of what Daytona Beach looked like before all of the large structures and hotels were erected alongside it.
