Food Waste is a Problem
It’s every passenger’s dream to be admitted into the airport VIP lounges. First-class service, comfy seats, and private bathrooms. What’s not to love? Most VIP lounges have a lot of food options as well. Many of them offer huge buffets every single day. Behind all of the affluence, however, is a darker story.

Having a huge rotation of food every day requires a lot of resources. To maintain freshness and follow strict regulations, staff has to change out this food very often. One staff member told us that the amount of food they have to throw away because of these strict regulations is outrageous.
