Fresh Air Can Wait
When you have a bunch of people cooped up together on an airplane, someone is bound to break the rules. Sometimes, they break rules that can put others at risk. We don’t want to be judgemental, but we can say that we absolutely don’t want these types of people sitting in the emergency exit rows.
One woman on a Chinese airline delayed a flight for more than an hour because she popped open an emergency exit door for “a breath of fresh air.” Of course, the police were promptly called and the woman was arrested for potentially endangering other passengers. Meanwhile, everyone was stuck on the plane, anxiously waiting for the whole ordeal to be over.
