Ö
It’s weird that this cat meme template is used for all kinds of languages. If you want to say island in Swedish, you make this weird face to pronounce ö correctly. This is also the face you make whenever you pronounce the letter y in Finnish and say one in French.
That’s what happens when your language has all kinds of weird accent marks. Also, if you’re wondering why the Swedish word for island is so different from other languages, it’s because Swedish comes from Old Norse, not Germanic. But somehow, Sweden and almost the entire world has a similar-sounding word for pineapple (ananas or another version of it). We call it a pineapple because it has pines and looks nothing like an apple.
