…But words can be tricky
But just because Swedish is easy to learn doesn’t mean it isn’t without its weird words. For instance, sauna in Swedish is batsu, while to the rest of the world, it’s simply sauna. That’s not really the worst example, but it does demonstrate how universal words don’t exist in Sweden (remember Läderlappen?).
Like Finland, you can find public saunas at nearly every corner of the country. This is a weird fact, seeing as how Swedes (and Finns) prefer staying away from other people as much as possible. However, when the towels come, everybody comes into close quarters with everyone else.
