Feel free to push and shove your way through crowds
When rushing through packed crowds in subways, you need to take a New York approach when doing so. This means you don’t ask for forgiveness when bumping into people, and don’t turn around with a sad expression on your face if you run into some. Bumping and pushing your way past crowds is commonplace in South Korea.
So, if you’re traveling to Seoul or another densely-populated city, don’t slow things down by saying “excuse me” or “pardon me.” The only people who’ll give you the stink-eye for bumping into them are fellow foreigners. But if you can avoid bumping into others and potentially knocking them down, try to do so as much as possible.
