What the doctor says goes
In South Korea, the anti-vax movement is pretty much nonexistent. People take their doctors’ words as law, as they should be. After all, doctors only go through a decade of schooling and practicing before earning a license. But following a doctor’s orders in South Korea isn’t just about getting vaccinated. Anything the doctor says about anything is nonnegotiable.
If a doctor tells you to take a certain medicine, it’s your duty to find that medicine or get chewed out at your next appointment. Arguing with a doctor is considered rude in South Korea, and you should never argue with his or her diagnosis. This may seem pretty harsh, but thems is the rules.
