A culture of workaholics
Saying that South Koreans are workaholics is an understatement. In fact, they’d rather put off doing personal things than miss any moment to get a job done. Things got so bad that the South Korean government issued no-computer Friday. Offices were required to leave their computers off on Friday to overcome the problem of people working themselves half to death.
Despite it being an actual law, many South Koreans ignore it completely. After all, the idea that working until late hours has been pounded into their systems at a young age. Even government officials aren’t abiding by these rules that jeopardize productivity.
