A Weather Alert
This helpful light, which can be found in elevators, is one of their most recent inventions, and it is made in Japan. As a result of their many diverse, but valuable, innovations to notify people when it’s about to rain, the Japanese must have experienced being caught in unexpected rainstorms on a regular basis.
The flashing of this indicator indicates that it is either currently raining or that it is forecast to rain when you are leaving your hotel room to spend a day in Japan. Otherwise, you should return to your room and change or buy an umbrella from a vending machine in the vicinity of your hotel. This may not be of much assistance, but it is certainly attractive.
