TAG Heuer And Nike Drops Sharapova As Their Brand Ambassador

Swiss watch brand TAG Heuer and sport Wear manufacturing company Nike have terminate their contract with Maria Sharapova after she had failed a drug test at the Australian Open in January. The ITF said it had suspended Ms Sharapova with effect Saturday March 12, pending “determination” of the case.

The penalty for such offence according to the ITF guidelines attracts a four-year suspension in the event of a positive test  and for first-time offences or if the player bears no fault or negligence.

She admitted to have been using Meldonium an endurance-enhancing drug due to health issue for the past ten years on Monday night during a press conference and that the drug was banned on January 1st.
