The national U-23 team gets set for the second phase camping in preparations for the 2015, 11th All African Games taking place in Brazzaville, Congo.
This phase II is specifically meant for the foreign based football players ahead of the All African Games.
Coach Siasia saw the need to invite the foreign-based professional into his team, after giving the local based footballers chance to break into his team.
He decided to do that in order to extend the chances of playing for their beloved country.
While addressing the players at the end of the first screening exercise, the former Super Eagle striker described the players as patriots for taking their time to participate in the selection process.
“I must commend you all for coming down despite the short notice. You guys have sacrificed a lot to come here.
“I want to commend your efforts and assure you that we will not forget you in our plans, the ex-Nantes striker was quoted as saying to the players.
Siasia will be hoping to qualify Nigeria for the All African Games as well as the Olympics in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
