Brazillian authorities freezes $50m of Neymar assets for evading tax payment between 2011 and 2013. The assets frozen are his jet, three companies, yacht and his bank accounts. Prosecutors accuse Neymar of setting up companies as fronts in order to pay a lower rate of tax.
A Sao Paulo federal court rejected an appeal from Neymar, who denied any wrongdoing, last week over the allegations and started issuing warrants to freeze his assets.
An auditor with the federal tax agency Iagaro Jung Martins, told the Associated Press news agency that Neymar could still appeal the decision and will not go to jail if he pay what authorities say he owes.
