Thiago Alcantara is set to go on a knee surgery soon after recovering from injuries that has kept him sidelined for a long time. The Bayern Munich midfielder has struggled to regain his fitness and get back to the pitch again.
Thiago only played 16 league games since he moved from Barcelona to Bayern Munich in 2013. It was a happy news to the German side when he resumed training, but sadly suffered another ligament on his knee.
The club has announced that he will be out of action for a very long time again. The 23 years old has thus expressed his disappointment saying: " I am profoundly disappointed and desperate. Why always me? I will not give up. I will fight again. I'm going to get close again and I will celebrate my come back at Bayern."
The club has thus expressed their support for him. Sports Director, Mathias Sammer Stated: "We are all saddened by this re-injury.
The Bavarian side has seen series of injuries but Thiago's case was exceptional. He was close to returning from a long time injury when once again he was hit badly.
The Spanish midfielder however has expressed optimism that he would be back and better for Bayern.
