A Brazilian man 7 feet 8 inches tall fell head over heels in love with a woman almost 3 feet shorter than him.
Joelison Fernandes da Silva, 28, who developed gigantism as a child, dropped out of school because of bullying and refused to leave his house for years, Barcroft Media reported.
His condition improved after undergoing surgery to remove a benign tumor on his pituitary gland - and he set his tall sights on 5-foot-tall Evem Medeiros, 21.
"The first time I saw her it was love at first sight. I was charmed by her. I wanted to be with her all the time. It didn't matter about her size," he said about his petite princess.
The former gold miner said he gets asked a lot about the, er, logistics of their love life.
"Some people like to talk about my shoe size and then imagine how big my member might be," he said. "I think the size of my feet is false advertising. Our love life is normal. We adapt. Lying down, everyone is my size."
Medeiros first contacted da Silva on Facebook to wish him a happy birthday and started a relationship with her hulking honey two months later.
"She was basically my first woman. The first woman of my life," da Silva said about his wife.
