Ice Ice Baby

Mabel + Moxie

Remember the Vanilla Ice song, Ice Ice Baby that came out in 1990? The main chorus repeats the phrase, ice ice baby three times, so it is kind of hard to forget. The song is a classic favorite of many, in fact, it’s so well known that people understand two packages of ice and a woman with her hand on her stomach to mean she’s pregnant. We also love that dads can really get behind this idea and participate!

Telling the good news with a song

How to be a dad

Of course, you are not limited to Ice Ice Baby to tell your news. You can find loads of great songs that with a little creative interpretation can help you create the most unique pregnancy announcement. We can think of a few more: “A Mother’s Prayer” by Celine Dion, “Papa Don’t Preach” by Madonna, “Isn’t She Lovely” by Stevie Wonder, and “Babyfather” by Sade. Those songs might work better with a video or surprise announcement because nothing can really beat the obvious visual of Ice Ice Baby.
