The Deputy Chairman APC North West, Alahaji Inuwa Abdulkadir has come out to promise Nigerians that APC will stop Boko Haram insurgency in the North if voted to rule in 2015.
Alahaji Inuwa Abdulkadir stated this during the inter-party debate on parties’ Master Plan for the rising insecurity in Nigeria organized by Center for Democracy and Development(CDD) over the weekend in Abuja.
Abdulkadir, also stated that high rate of unemployment is the cause of increase spate of attacks. He also said that “If APC is given chance to rule in 2015 they will create eight million jobs in Nigeria within four years”.
But in his remarks, the representative of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Catchy Onanoju, said the country has been unable to end Boko Haram due to poor training of military personnel.
“You can make your background checks; our boys have not been trained in the past 30 years. As I speak, if we have a real commando unit, 10 boys can go in and take out a battalion of Boko Haram. We are lucky, because Boko Haram is not well organised.
I am here sharing the truth about what we have as a challenge in the country. We have to agree as a country to rebuild our army,” Onanoju said.
However, both party representatives called for state and community policing to address the lingering security crisis in the country.
